GEORAS XPS Heating Panels with Aluminum Heat Spreaders are manufactured from high-density XPS400 (400 kPa) extruded polystyrene, providing excellent compressive strength, dimensional stability, and moisture resistance. Integrated aluminum heat spreaders ensure efficient and uniform heat distribution, faster system response, and reduced heat loss.

Installation Instructions
1. Subfloor Preparation
Panels should be installed on a level, clean, stable, and dry substrate, such as:
- Concrete
- OSB boards
- Timber flooring
- Ceramic tiles
- Other stable building surfaces
If additional fixing is required, the following adhesives are recommended:
- GEORAS EPS&XPS Adhesive – for bonding XPS panels to various construction substrates.
- MS 70 Polymer High-Tack – where exceptionally strong adhesion is required.
2. Heating Panel Installation
Lay out the panels according to the planned heating circuit design.
Press the heating pipe into the pre-formed grooves. At turning points, use the factory-made return bends or circular panels.
When panels with aluminum heat spreaders are used, they ensure optimal heat distribution and improve overall system efficiency.
If the final floor covering or GEORAS TE boards are installed directly on top of the aluminum heat spreaders, the following adhesives are recommended:
- Zettex X40 universal spray contact adhesive.
- MS 70 Polymer High-Tack high-grab construction adhesive.
These adhesives improve heat transfer, reduce structural movement, and ensure reliable bonding of the upper layers.
When installing gypsum boards, gypsum fibre boards, Cetris boards, or other rigid load-distribution panels, additional bonding to the aluminum heat spreaders is generally not required.
3. Fixing the Top Layer
If the system is installed on OSB, timber flooring, or another wooden substrate, the upper boards may be:
- Fixed mechanically with wood screws.
- Bonded using Zettex X40 or MS 70 Polymer High-Tack adhesive.
If the substrate is concrete or another surface where mechanical fixing is not possible, the upper layer should be bonded.
When installing ceramic tiles on load-distribution boards (Cetris, gypsum fibre boards, GEORAS TE boards, etc.), these boards must be additionally secured either by screwing or bonding.

Important
- XPS panels provide greater moisture resistance than EPS panels.
- Suitable for applications exposed to higher humidity levels.
- In bathrooms and other wet areas, waterproofing should be installed according to flooring and adhesive manufacturers' recommendations.
- If there is any uncertainty regarding loads or floor covering selection, an additional load-distribution layer is recommended.
