Electric heated floors

Electric Underfloor Heating Electric underfloor heating usually consists of electric heating cables embedded in the floor. Electric heating cables or mats can be installed in a layer of concrete or in the layer of tile adhesive on the surface.

Electric heating mats are most commonly used for heating under tiles or under a leveling layer of the floor.

Electric heating films such as Caleo or others are typically used for heating under floating floor coverings such as laminate, vinyl, or parquet. In other words, they are installed under coverings that are laid using the floating method.

Due to the relatively high cost of electricity, electric underfloor heating is usually economically beneficial only if a solar power system is installed.

Electric underfloor heating can also be useful as an additional heating option for the home if the main heating method used is air-to-air heating.
