Mat selection advice by power:
- 60-100 W/m² mats are recommended for constant room heating when this is the main heating method.
- 100-150 W/m² mats are recommended for both constant and intermittent room heating in areas with standard and increased heat demand, as both the main and supplementary heating method in spaces such as bathrooms, toilets, hallways, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, basements, and insulated balconies.
- 150-200 W/m² mats are recommended for floors with very high humidity and heat demand, such as uninsulated basement floors, uninsulated garages, uninsulated balconies, and outdoor stairs.
- For wooden floors, only mats with a power range of 60-150 W/m² should be installed.
- It is not recommended to install heating mats with a power output higher than 150 W/m² into the floors of residential areas such as bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, bathrooms, or toilets. Due to the high power, these mats heat up more quickly and maintain higher temperatures than standard mats, which can cause discomfort. Possible side effects include foot swelling, fatigue, or other inconveniences.
Heating mats with a power output between 150 and 300 W/m² can be installed on walls as a replacement for towel warmers
