The board is suitable for both dry and wet underfloor heating systems.
The dry heating system is a universal and optimal solution for floor and wall surface heating, suitable for both new and existing buildings.
It is especially suitable for renovation projects and timber-frame houses where concrete installation is limited or not possible.
The boards feature specially shaped grooves in which the pipe can be easily and conveniently installed.
Aluminum reflectors are installed in the gaps to ensure even heat distribution without any losses.
If the board is used for concrete installation, reflectors are not required.
Board Installation
The boards are laid on a flat, clean surface (OSB, particle board, concrete, tiles, or wooden floors).
It is recommended to glue the boards to the surface using polystyrene adhesive or PVA glue.
The pipe is then installed. In the turning loops where the pipe bends, the aluminum foil should be cut with a utility knife.
Laminate flooring can be installed on top; however, do not forget to use underlay suitable for underfloor heating.
The thickness of the underlay is not important, but the manufacturer must specify that it is suitable for underfloor heating.
If tiles are to be installed, Knauf Brown cement gypsum boards can be laid over the panels (one layer is sufficient). The gypsum boards serve as a base for tile installation.
Gypsum boards should be glued with PVA adhesive or a special epoxy primer. Cement gypsum boards may also be fixed with wood screws if the base is wooden. It is important to accurately mark the pipe layout to avoid damaging the pipes when screwing.
Cement boards such as Cetris may also be used as a base; however, please note that they are quite heavy.
